Wrapping Up Seems Like Getting Started

As much as I may whine along "All of this technology's gonna hypnotize us don't-know-betters into stupefied, zombie morons!" I confess, with moderation and an electronic reminder to go outside for realia, the web 2.0 world has much to offer. I appreciate all Jerry's done for us, me, and the students/teachers with whom I'll work across the next generation. Legacy is linked to you, Sir. Perhaps we'll see you in the "Love Boat" library while vacationing the Mediterranean, celebrating our tenth-anniversary of LMC certification.

Jerry-This really isn't part of my project. If I had actually done the money project I would have pictures to add. Instead, these are pictures from my class. I think you get the idea that we can use this program to share our projects with classmates, familie, friends, etc.

With Jerry's BBQ being on Tues. what would you think about staying late that night and decorating for the 1st year students? They would come in Wed. morn and be surprised? Let's talk about it today.

web 2.0

Isn't it amazing how much we can learn in 2 weeks? Last month, I thought using technology meant a document camera, a computer hooked up to my projector and the ability to present with a ppt presentation!!! Although, techno challanged, I actually believe that even I can use many of the web 2.0 tools that we have been exposed to. I love the blog idea and have one up and going for our cabin remodel project-how fun. My family is really impressed with me! There are so many great free programs out there. Although it may be frustrating at times, I learn so much just by doing and exploring. How fun! I look forward to having the time to play with this.

Web 2.0

I have been learning quite a bit about Web 2.0. Some of the tools are not to hard to learn, but there are others that drive me crazy. I was working on the project sharing assignment today and I starting cussing under my breath, and I threw a fist at my computer. I decided I better work on something else for the time being. Haley was doing great, so she said she would help me later. Thank goodness for our fellow classmates. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Haley is my Strength, thank you!

wikis

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not sure I like wikis. My first experience didn't go so well, it stressed me out tremendously. I can't explain why, I think my brain was on hold that day. I think I need to try another one to build my confidence. I'll try later when I have a little more time. I'm not as stressed out as I was last week, but oh wait the final is due soon. I need to have a better subject or purpose for my wiki, I just haven't come up with that great idea yet.

Getting It

Well, after being in class now for 6 days I'm finally getting what our final project is suppose to look like. I think the lightbulb is coming from doing so many projects and reading the book. I guess at the beginning I felt like I didn't know where I was headed because I couldn't visualize the end. So far, I really like the blogging page and the personal info page. I have a few projects left to do which I'm assuming will help my understanding even more.
