Check out this wiki I found for library media specialists about web 2.0.

I like the social technographies ladder image, because it shows you where you are and rungs to try to reach as a media savvy teacher librarian.

I think this will be fun. I do like and use facebook a lot. I like Ida's picture, but I don't have one with me and besides, simple is best since I have a simple brain.

Thanks Lisa for introducing Wordle.net. What fun! It also takes a lot of your free time, because it's so fun, but very useful! Check out their gallery while you are there. Great things to share.

Their definition of the site:

Wordle.net is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

The wikki hates my guts so I'm going to blog instead. WHY can't I join the wiki? Why???
I have officially blogged now so I'm going back to fighting with wikispaces. Which hates my gust by the way.

Well, perhaps if I spelled wiki correctly I'd have better luck.

Believe it or not I have never blogged before. I have read blogs though. Does that count for something? Many blogs are like an online journal. I am a private person and I do not see the point of writing my life experiences on the web. However, educational blogs might have me interested.

I also a newbie to blogging and I don't have an online social site like MySpace or Facebook and have liked it that way. I get invited to many, and I just don't have time to view them all and check email, so my priority has been checking email quickly, because my kids' sports activities info is on there, sometimes a daily basis referring to scheduling, so I just try to spend as short a time on the computer, so that I can be with my family. I don't know how people can spend so much time with their site and be with their family, too. Plus, I haven't wanted anything so public. I'm also a private person, like Hayley. Maybe, I just don't know enough about all this technology. But, I'm having fun with the blogging and wiki stuff and seeing the impact it can have on education (sorry for my novel).

I was totally new to the world of blogging until I tumbled upon my poetry professor's "Poetry for Children" blog. I instantly fell in love with it and with the possibilities it offers. Just the resources, other people's views, communication and exchange of thoughts...I am on this "cyberspace boat" for sure...
