I thought a lot about screenscaping last night and couldn't figure out how I would use it in the classroom (as a teaching tool). But I think I can use it in my project by have students create screenscaping maps of movement of people within the state of Washington. Or, I can e-mail driving directions while narrating. And maybe I can sing...

Paint!?
Anyone remember the tool/program we used in Jerry's class last year that allows you to paint and create? I think we used it for the final? UGH, I should have had the Delicious site up and running last year. AmyH

I used the TikaTok.com site for my presentation. A very easy program students can use to make their own books! The steps are guided; lots of options. You can view the book I made called Yellow Plants.

Love, love, love the "50 ways to tell a story" link. Wonderful digital story telling sites and nice to be able to see an example video before going out to the site and registering. I could see making a project where students each try out a different site on the same subject or theme. Sharing would be fun!

Amy- was it Paint.net? Jerry said it's not longer on our computers at CWU. They now have an adobe suite.

Well, as we wrap this class up I find myself reeling with all the new things I've put in my head the last two weeks or so. Such COOL stuff. My favorite by far was building that Ning site. It looks like it took a long time and was difficult when really, it was one of the easiest things I've ever done.

Wikis are another story for me. I get the concept, I find them easy to use but something about it just doesn't "click" (ugh...forgive the pun) with me.

I'm also not so into blogging. I have bookmarked a few blogs that interest me to look at when I'm back in the real world so maybe that will change my feelings some. Most likely, I'll end up being a blog reader/subscriber but not a contributor.

I am interested in trying Jing but can you imagine having to listen to my voice while watching a video? Makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Other than the 2.0 tools we've been learning, I have to say that this class has been a total blast. I really enjoy spending time with you all and I think we've become a great team. I'm rarely comfortable around people but with you guys I've become TOO comfortable. ( I am REALLY sorry about the Dewey comments. I promise not to make another for the rest of the week!) I'm actually considering going to the barbecue next week and Jerry would tell you that the fact that I'm considering it is a miracle. Any way, before I get sappy and break out into song I'll call it a night!
