What do you all think about different ways blogs can be used to enhance the library's ability to mass communicate?
I can picture lost of things to post like, weekly book reviews, what is new in the library, photos of student work, announcements of community events (at your library and around town), procedural changes, etc. Sure, much of this could be done on your website, but it is so much easier (from my experience) to pop into a blog than it is to get into the website to make changes. I am thinking I might have a prominent link to my blog for the "latest and greatest" from the library website. :)

Now I have a place to let you know what happens in terms of future jobs if they happen after library camp ends!
I'll be looking forward to hearing Laurel! Hopefully it will happen BEFORE school ends though!

This is so strange....I'm not sure I like it. I'll keep trying. It feels like thinking aloud.

Amy, do you have to pass blog material through the district IT guys, like with website material, or is it as open as it sounds?
Also, can you access and blog from school, or do you do it all at home?
I am going to stick with this until it seems easy. i wanted to comment on janets post, but ended up making a new post. Now I'm commenting on Amy's. Go figure. claire
